An Expedition Semester gives you an integrated curriculum comprising 5 courses of 3 credits each, for a total of 15 credits. The credits will be transferrable to your home institution from Lesley University.*
If you are currently matriculated or about to begin attending an institution of higher learning, you would remain enrolled at your home institution. Coming on an expedition semester is similar to going on a study abroad semester; you remain a student of your home institution which allows you to apply for and receive financial aid, as well as receive other student benefits such as your school associated email address and access to student health insurance.
As part of the credit transfer process, you will need to speak with your advisor or the study abroad office at your school. They will work with you in transferring and applying the credits to your final degree program. Each school differs in how they handle this process. If you have questions about academic credit, please contact us and we will be happy to provide additional information and support.
You are welcome to apply to come on an expedition semester even if you are not currently enrolled elsewhere, however, this will mean that you will not have access to student financial aid or group health insurance.
*pending final approval of curriculum by Lesley University’s Credit Option Partnership program, which will be completed in the fall of 2012. Students receiving this credit will not be considered students of Lesley University; the credit is transferred.
